Space Weather and GPS Ionospheric dynamics negatively affect ground to satellite communications. The physics coupling includes solar activity and the magnetosphere/ionosphere system. By developing a predictive modeling platform that includes all these components, we will launch the first commercially available tool capable not only of viewing the current state of Ionosphere but also in producing near-term forecasts. The GPS industry, primarily the augmentation segment that transmits corrections to receivers, will greatly benefit from this technology. Through enabling very high-resolution global electron content readings GPS location accuracy will remain high even in regions without ground reference stations. Additionally, forecasting potential signal outages in specific geographic regions will be possible.
